Deception and self-deception are biologically based functions. Intimacy is also a biologically based need. Shame is our predicament after the original sin. Vulnerability is a prerequisite for intimacy but also a cause for shame and deception. Navigating the waters of the polarities of the human condition is the calling of a psychotherapist. In Biosynthesis we get this as the starting point of practicing therapy.

Lily Anagnostopoulou, Ph.D. psychologist & psychotherapist and international trainer in Biosynthesis. She is the founder and director of the Greek Biosynthesis Centre and has been working for 35 years as a psychotherapist in private practice and for 20 years as a trainer in Biosynthesis in various countries. She has trained with David and Silvia Boadella in Biosynthesis, and with Alexander Lowen in Bioenergetics. She has also extensive trainings in Hypnosis with Ernest Rossi and Jungian dream analysis with Winnifred Rushford. She has also trained in Family Systems Therapy, Group Analysis, and Rogerian Counseling. She has worked as a school psychologist for 20 years and taught in the University of Indianapolis, in their Master’s program in Psychology, in the Athens Campus. She is founder and director of a residential retreat & healing centre in Corinth and lives in Athens, Greece.
